Workflow Manager

Software asset management is not just archiving all licensing and contractinformation, the processes are crucial as well. Now Flexera has developed the Workflow Manager for Enterprise License Optimization. This allows organizations to automate, improve and control these processes. The Workflow Manager templates can easily be adapted to the internal processes of the organization. Additionally, this module can automatically send emails to the responsible person to keep them informed of the work to be done at their request. Also, a user can receive an email when an action is required. It’s as simple as clicking an email so everyone can use this workflow’s.

The Workflow Manager can be used for automating software asset management processes including:

• Service, software, hardware and contract claims
• The purchase of new services, software, hardware and contracts
• Receiving of assets / services providers, asset
• Disposal and termination of contracts
• Audits of their contractual obligations and the status of the current compliance positioning

IBM licentie management

Naast het uitgebreid beheren van Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, Symantec is het nu ook mogelijk om de IBM licentie te beheren waaronder DB2, Websphere Application Server en Tivoli Workflow Scheduler.

Integratie met de IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT)

FlexNet Manager voor IBM is geïntegreerd met de IBM ILMT om hard-en software, processor gebruik, toewijzing van processors binnen virtuele omgevingen waar subcapacity licensering van kracht is,  te kunnen importeren. Van daaruit wordt het gecorreleerd met inkooporders en contracten waardoor er een overzichtelijke licentiepositie bepaald kan worden en incompliantie word voorkomen.

Nieuwe IBM licentie modellen

Een nieuwe Processor Value Unit (PVU) licentie type is toegevoegd binnen FlexNet manager om deze licentie vorm van een “full capacity” omgevingen te kunnen beheren. Deze IBM PVU punten tabel wordt opgeslagen in FlexNet Manager voor IBM, zodat het vereiste aantal PVU licenties kan worden berekend op basis van de onderliggende hardware. (PVU’s zijn gebaseerd op processor-type, servermodel, cores per socket, etc…)

FlexNet Manager for IBM ondersteund ook deze ander IBM licentie modellen: Authorized User, Concurrent User en Floating User. IBM license management is nu een stuk vereenvoudigd omdat nu het juiste licentiemodel en licentiemetrics beschikbaar zijn binnen FlexNet manager.
